Board Certified Oral Surgeon

Dr. Carl A. Labella III is a Mississippi native with a distinguished career in military service and oral and maxillofacial surgery. He brings decades of clinical, surgical, leadership, and teaching experience to the care of every patient. He earned his undergraduate degree from Delta State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

He went on to complete advanced training in general dentistry. He then finished his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery through the San Antonio Military Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program.

Throughout his career in the United States Air Force, Dr. Labella held many leadership roles. These include Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Program Director of the San Antonio Military Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program. As the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialty Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General, he helped guide specialty education and train future military oral surgeons.

Dr. Labella is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has served as an ABOMS Board Examiner. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. His career reflects a lasting commitment to surgical excellence, education, leadership, and service.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Labella loves spending time with his wife, Alicia, and their two children, Taylor and Carlson.
